The gripping storyline of The Greedy Cave 2 takes us back to the "Gold Rush," a catastrophe long ago that shaped the world's history. Records of this event are scarce, but it is said that it all began in a magical cave, where an unintended discovery of hidden treasures triggered a frenzy among adventurers with their own ambitions. This adventuring fever brought prosperity to some kingdoms while others faced decline, resulting in significant changes in the geopolitical landscape.

However, it soon became evident that there was more to this story than meets the eye. In a cruel twist of fate, demons descended upon the realm as the truth behind the conspiracy was revealed. The gods were enraged, and both heaven and earth lost their essence. War spread mercilessly, leaving no corner untouched. Humanity found itself helpless in the face of destruction, as homes were ravaged, civilizations crumbled, and only a handful of survivors remained. This calamity, known as the Milton Catastrophe, persisted for many years until the name of the continent itself was almost forgotten.

Centuries later, in the kingdom of Basatan, known for its reverence of magic and nestled amidst mountains, sorcerers proclaimed to have unlocked a door to another world through their research. This realm was a nexus where time and space intertwined, revealing glimpses of the old world along with bizarre creatures never before seen. However, they cautioned that the power within was yet to be fully understood, and so travelers would embark on journeys with destinations unknown.

Naturally, such minor uncertainties did little to deter people's insatiable curiosity. Reminiscent of days gone by, adventurers from different kingdoms once again converged upon Basatan, ignited by the start of the second "Gold Rush."
